The print revolution!
You may want to know more about this well-know, both traditional and highly trendy French brand of which you will find beautiful pieces in our sale this week: Léonard.
The story begins in 1958 when François Léonard decided to ask Daniel Tribouillard to imagine a new kind of fabric. He decided then to try and print some famous English jerseys that were so far impossible to print on any kind of fabric. After having succeeded in this technical challenge, he found the symbol of the brand: an orchid, still vivid in many of Leonard's creation.
Renowned worldwide for the luxurious quality of its silk and jerseys, Léonard was the first western fashion designer to be granted an incredible privilege: the Japanese authorities gave Leonard an order for kimonos and hence gave the French brand the secret of kimono making.
